Teton Crest Trail, Day 4 – Paintbrush Divide
February 26, 2020

I’ve definitely already written it in my other posts covering this trip, but the Paintbrush Divide was one of my motives for hiking the Teton Crest Trail a second time. I just wanted to finish it. And not fully from a ‘sense of accomplishment’ point of view (of course that did feel good!), but just to see what was supposedly the most beautiful sections of my favorite park.

An Apocalyptic Sunset at Grand Prismatic Spring

The storms were so nasty that I actually just debated about hanging out through sunset and getting to bed early, but I just really wanted a great shot of Grand Prismatic Hot Spring from the main overlook. Since it was my last night, I figured I had to try… It was one of just those nights that I knew I it was about to be a complete bust of a shoot. OR, maybe, just maybe the sky would go completely epic and surprise me.
