Since it would be our second time, we wanted to hike it in a different route – A route that requires rappelling, small down-climbs, and swimming through cold, ball-shrinking pools.
But there was something about the notorious last half mile of the Angel’s Landing hike that really intimidated me – I don’t think I’ve ever hiked with more trepidation and vigilance before.
The Left Fork of North Creek in Zion National Park, also known as the Subway, is one of the park’s more popular and iconic hikes, taking you along the river to a tube-like, undercut slot canyon resembling an urban subway tunnel.
Long hikes (hard work) is absolutely rewarding, but with Bryce, it was awesome to shoot sunrise from an overlook, wander some trails for a bit, and be back at my car for coffee by 7:30 a.m.
