Back when I lived in Summit County and before my photography days, I spent a lot of time up top Loveland Pass – hiking around, skiing under a full moon, or kicked back in a chair enjoying a beer and soaking in the view. But since moving an hour west five years ago, I just hadn’t really been up there, which is just stupid since it’s such an easy spot to go for photography.
A few weeks ago, I had some friends planning a sunrise hike along the west ridge and looking for something to do, I drove up for sunset, slept in my car, and hiked with them the next morning.
Turned out to be an absolutely beautiful time…
